Summer Beauty Trend for Nail Polish– Blue and Green

Summer beauty trends require attention to more than your face.  Yes, we love fresh summer makeup, but your body, including fingers and toes need to be up-to-date as well. So it looks like blue is making a splash not just in eye makeup, but also with nail polish. Chanel’s Blue Satin Nail polish was an instant  hit with celebrities and us common folk alike.  But we can’t seem to escape the blues.

Fierce blue nails on fingers and toes is a trend that has become a classic.

opi-sephoraSephora introduced it’s mermaid in the shade colloction of OPI blue and green polishes online yesterday.  Priced at $9, they are a bit more forgiving on the pocketbook than Chanel polishes at $23 each. (Chanel nail polishes are most definitely Ka-Ching bling)  Inspired by the Mediterranean island of Capri, Sephora by OPI’s newest collection captures the deep blues and aquamarine hues of the ocean. Each glittering shade makes the perfect accessory for a bikini and a sun-kissed glow.  And if you are a fan of OPI nail polish  names, you are going to love Lagoon-a-Beach — my personal favorite.

Essie also has three water themed blue nail polishes in it’s collection, check out Aruba Blue.  It’s a Sapphire blue, to glisten in the Caribbean seas.  Then there is Sag Harbor,  a blue nail polish Reminiscent of bright open skies and deep welcoming waters.  Last but not least, Essie give us Barbados Blue, a baby blue that will whisk you away to this tropical island.
