Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday: The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask Review

Another Sunday, another Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday. When I performed facials in my skin care practice, I loved using an enzyme peel and then I would follow up with a mask. Well, The Better Skin Co. made life much easier by combining the best of both worlds with their Klayzyme Mask. You get the benefits of exfoliating enzymes as well as the power of clay to absorb impurities, plus hydration. A perfect trifecta, no?

About The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask $34

Good for all people.

A mineral-rich clay + enzyme mask for all skin types. Deep cleansing Kaolin & Bentonite Clays purify and clarify the skin’s appearance and help absorb excess oil and impurities. Pore refining Papaya & Pineapple Enzymes help remove dead skin cells and support healthy turnover for radiant skin. Aloe & Olive Oil helps hydrate and soothe for healthy looking, soft moisturized skin.

My results with The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask:

Since I have reached my “mature” years, I tend to shy away from clay masks. Primarily because I have found over the years that clay masks leave my skin tight, but not in a positive way. That was not the case with The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask.

After cleansing my skin, I apply a nice layer of The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask and let it go to work for about 15 minutes. I love that this clay mask doesn’t dry out my skin, but somehow Klayzyme Mask manages to clean my pores while simultaneously hydrating my skin.

As an esthetician I know the importance of removing a mask before it completely dries, and even after 15 minutes, The Better Skin Co. Klayzyme Mask doesn’t completely dry on my skin! KUDOS! This mask removes quite easily with a warm wash cloth and doesn’t leave any clay residue on the skin.

Now this is the part I’m geeked about — my skin feels moist, hydrated and refreshed upon removal. As I mentioned before, that’s not usually the case with clay masks. I believe the inclusion of olive oil makes this mask double-duty in performance; not only does it exfoliate because of the papaya and pineapple enzymes, but it leaves your skin with a soft feel, and a serious glow after.
