Skin Care Review: Paula’s Choice Exfoliate Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

I’m completely obsessed with my pores. I had oily skin when I was younger and did everything wrong for my skin before I became an esthetician in my thirties. Anyway, your pore size is in your DNA, you can’t change it. BUT, you can prevent your pores from enlarging, and keep them clean — free of excess oil, dirt, makeup, dead skin and other debris. That of course comes from a having a skin care regimen that suits your skin types.

What it is: A unique daily-use liquid exfoliator that helps remove dead skin cells while clearing pores for a more even, radiant tone.

I’m embarrassed to say that it has taken me over two years to profess my devotion to Paula’s Choice Exfoliate Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. I suppose it’s because I actually bought this product, it was sent to my by a PR company or brand, and I kept buying it. So, here we go…

Initially I purchased Paula’s Choice Exfoliate Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant for my almost 80 year old aunt who is as equally if not more so obsessed with her pores than I am. After one usage, she was say, OMG, Tracey, you have to use this stuff. After a week, she was in her 10x magnifying mirror doing her weekly pore check in and she tells me her pores shrank. Of course, in all my esthetic knowledge, I have to remind her that they are now clean and it’s thanks to the Paula’s Choice BHA Exfoliant. Then I ordered my bottle.

And I had the same exact reaction. I have two pores in particular that I detest. They have been enlarged for years and I can’t stop squeezing them which makes everything worse. But, thanks to using  this wonder exfoliant, my skin is like BOOM! What pores? They are clean and look normal. (Whatever normal is…)

Besides tackling my pore issues, Paula’s Choice  2% BHA Exfoliant has smoothed out my forehead where I swear I starting to see signs of having three children, aka fine lines. The best part about this liquid exfoliant is that it’s gentle! I even use it under my eyes. While I have pretty good skin, because I take care of it, I still saw it get better from using this exfoliant everyday.

In December of 2018 I started managing the Advanced Skin Care department at Nordstrom in Atlanta and Paula’s Choice was one of my brands. I felt so excited that I could wholeheartedly recommend this product to EVERYONE without hesitation. Even if your pores are not an issue, your skin needs gentle daily exfoliation, and this is the way to go. I swear, I could not keep this product on the shelf. I literally sold dozens every week to men, women, all ages, all colors and all skin types. And, I highly recommend it for anyone reading this unsolicited review!
