Beauty News: Recycling Tips From Love Beauty and Planet for Keeping Our Planet Beautiful

Did you know that people are 50% less likely to recycle in the bathroom than in the kitchen? Of all the dirty things that happen in a bathroom, letting recyclables go to the landfill is the worst!

America Recycles Day is on November 15^th, so let’s encourage everyone to start recycling their beauty products!

Love Beauty and Planet is committed to small acts of love that make you and the planet more beautiful, and in that spirit, we’re sharing a few recycling tips that we created with recycling rockstar, Alexa Green, who at only 24-years-old is the Director of Recycle Across America where she is standardizing recycling across the US.

Love Beauty and Planet, a new Unilever beauty brand, joins The Recycling Partnership to help transform a U.S. city’s recycling system–making it easier for residents to recycle, and recycle well, while measurably reducing greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste. Packed in 100 percent recycled bottles, the vegan beauty brand’s mission is to make people and the planet a little more beautiful by infusing small acts of love throughout the entire product cycle while being transparent about its environmental footprint.

It has set a goal to reduce its carbon footprint by 20 percent by 2020, and for each carbon ton of greenhouse gas emitted during the creation, manufacture and distribution of its current products, it will contribute $40 to fund its support of The Recycling Partnership.
