Skin Care Review: Formula 10.0.6 Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil

One thing I’m always preaching from my esthetician’s pulpit is to please cleanse your skin. Cleans twice daily! Okay, now that we have stipulated that I’m a firm believer in cleansing, we can move on.

I have written about my love for cleansing oils on many occasions for the simple fact that they are fabulous at removing makeup and other associated gunk from a ridiculous day out and about — dirt, sweat, dead skin, oil — I’ll stop there. So, for my night time skin care regimen, I always cleanse with a cleansing oil or balm first. Then I go back in for a second cleanse.

I have tried all kinds of cleansing oils with all kinds of price tags, and to my surprise there is a very reasonably price cleansing oil on the market with an amazing pedigree. I’m going to regress a moment…

The very first lip gloss or balm I ever used umpteen years ago was Bonne Bell. I can still remember the super sweet smell and super sticky texture, and hiding it from my mom who was anti makeup. Whatever. I was trending with my plumps before I even knew it was a thing.

Anyway, I’m connecting the dots here folks, bear with me. Formula 10.0.6, an iconic family owned beauty brand (since 1933) created Bonne Bell and a slew of new products, including Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil which I’m reviewing right here and now. Who knew????

My results:

I have to say that I first of all loved the directions on how to use Formula 10.0.6 Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil. As an esthetician, it’s my habit to apply cleanser directly to skin without diluting it, and that’s exactly what you are told to do with this cleansing oil. So, after pumping more cleansing oil than I need, (bad habit) I took time to massage it into my skin, even over my eyelids as I typically wear mascara during the day. Then I add water to emulsify

I truly enjoyed the cleansing experience. The scent is light and not at all offensive; I suppose it’s the vanilla. What’s wonderful is that my makeup melted away. This cleansing oil dissolved my eye makeup without irritating my eyes and when I rinsed, the makeup was gone. I ordinarily do a second cleanse, but I have to say that on first cleanse with Formula 10.0.6 Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil my skin was looking and feeling so clean.

What I also love is that Formula 10.0.6 Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil leaves my skin feel moist and not stripped. I really hate having to compensate for a cleanser that depletes my lipid barrier with moisturizer, and thats not the case with the cleansing oil.

Bonus points for a seriously reasonable price point and the use of great ingredients, and for being cruelty free. Also, the oils used in this cleansing oil are compatible with the skin’s natural lipids, so it’s a winner for ingredients! I love Formula 10.0.6 Bare Face Beauty Skin-Moisturizing Cleansing Oil and I’ll be back for more.
