I’m always happy to post a positive review for a woman-founded beauty brand. So, I was pleased to receive a body scrub and body oil from Evie & Kay, a BIPOC owned body care line. I have lupus, which has left me with uncomfortable, dry, scaly skin. As often as I exfoliate and moisturize my skin with body creams and lotions, I only find temporary relief. That’s not to say that everything I have tried has been unsuccessful, but I want to focus on the benefits of Evie & Kay body care.

Pro: This scrub does an excellent job of exfoliating my skin without irritation. I love that it melts into my skin leaving little residue to wash off.  The primary benefit of Evie & Kay Body Scrub is that it smooths my flaky skin. When I follow up with the body oil it’s a perfect pairing.

My Experience With Evie & Kay Neroli Nourishing Sunblock Body Oil:

As I mentioned earlier, I have seriously dry skin. This new to me, so I’m still trying to navigate managing which products  work for me and those that don’t. Fortunately, the powerful duo of Evie & Kay scrub and body oil tackle my dry skin with amazing results.

After  showering using the body scrub, I simply pat my skin dry. Since the Evie & Kay body scrub leaves my skin so smooth, the body oil absorbs so well. The  hydration from body scrub prepare my skin to receive the body oil. Additionally, the oil doesn’t leave a residue, so I’m not concerned about oil staining my clothing. Having an SPF of 50 makes this body oil ideal ideal for glowing skin for spring and summer. This oil even works for my hair!

Pro: Abosrbs well without residue, it’s truly lightweight. Pleasing light scent. Hydrates. A little goes a long way!
