Product Review-Skin Care: Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil

Have you noticed the sudden trend of cleansing oils? Interestingly enough, the use of a cleansing oil isn’t something new. As a matter of fact, Erno Laszlo has had a cleansing oil (pre-cleansing to be exact) to be used in conjunction with their bar soaps for so many years that it has become iconic in the skin care industry. After one use of Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil, I fell in love with the product.  Before I continue to rave, check out the details about this lovely pre-cleansing oil.

About Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil $55:

Great for all skin types, it can also be used to create a non-irritating, hydrating lather for shaving.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

My results:

My initial sensory response to Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil was pretty much love at first touch and smell. It’s smooth, rich and smells lovely.  I use about a nickel size amount of the cleansing oil to coat my face, including my eyes and neck. It smells so fabulous that I really languish in the phase of my cleansing. Ordinarily,  the Erno Laszlo Mud Bar is used to create a lather with the pre-cleansing oil, but since I didn’t have that, I use another cleanser to create the lather. After working up a lather, I take time to actually cleanse my skin massaging it with the cleanser for at least a minute or using a facial brush to deep clean.
The results are fabulous. My skin looks refreshed and my pores are clean and clear. The oil is so gentle yet effective that you can also remove stubborn waterproof mascara with it prior to even  applying the mud bar or other cleanser to the  pre-cleansing oil. Over time, you will find that you skin attains a certain clarity from using this pre-cleansing oil. What I love perhaps the most about using the pre-cleansing oil, is that it leaves my skin feeling moist and not stripped as is the case with many cleansers.

I have been using Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil for about a month now and I have so much product left, that I’m sure I will have it for another two months at least. And that, for those of you who may be raising your eyebrows, is a wonderful value — to have such an effective product that gives you true value.
