Makeup Review: Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder in Candlelight

I’m a sucker for glowing skin. Whether it’s freshly cleansed and scrubbed to product a healthy glow, or it’s a bomb makeup product that gives a gorgeous natural glow, I’m all in. Unfortunately, the current makeup trends have so many women going overboard on highlighting and strobing, that they end up looking quite artificial and I really don’t see the point in all that. That brings me to this fabulous makeup product — Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder in Candlelight. I honestly think that even if you were trying to look like an overly  highlighted Instagram “makeup artist”, you wouldn’t have too great a chance of succeeding, because this powder is just too awesome to mess up!

About  Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder in Candlelight $35

laura-mercier-mineral-illuminating-powder-in-candlelightWhat it is:
A lightweight mineral powder that provides sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect that perfects any look.

What it does:
Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder imparts a natural, healthy glow with the help of pure pearl powder and a rich Gemstone complex of diamonds, emeralds, and other precious and semi-precious stones. The Gemstone Complex captures and reflects light—making it the perfect complement to eyes, cheeks, or face. The formula’s weightless texture provides sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect that perfects any look.

My results:

I am so enamored with Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder — it adds a whole new level of glow to my makeup. What I love the most is that while my skin is glowing and looks so radiant while wearing this powder, it really doesn’t look like I have anything extra on. I’m just looking totally amazing without really trying…

I use Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder primarily on my cheeks and eyelids because I like the look when the light catches those points on my face. I was a little leery of the color working on my skin tone, because I am brown, but I should have known better — it blends like a dream. Also, it just melts into your skin with a little work of your powder or fan brush.

On bare skin, this illuminating powder gives your skin a helping hand in the way of of natural glow, and over foundation, it just adds the right amount of highlight without leaving you looking overdone.

I’ve never used a product before that’s a mix of gem stones, but, this one has the right formula for a healthy glow. I have also used it on other skin tones (lighter and darker) with the same stellar results.
