What I’m Loving Now: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold

I love glowing skin. And, If I have to fake it, no problem. Of course, I pride myself with pretty great skin, but there are days when my skin looks as blah as I feel. That’s when ahhhmazing products like BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold come to my rescue. I am so in love with this bottle of shimmery goodness, that as much as I want to use it, I want to preserve it too.

Here are the details about BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold (golden rosey pink) $41:

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose GoldWhat it is:
A sheer cream-liquid that perfects skin with light-reflecting pearls for a soft, natural glow.

What it does:
Achieve a subtle luminosity. This formula features ultrafine light-reflecting pearls that melt into your skin for polished, natural-looking radiance. Water-light and sheer, it has a prismatic effect that allows it to adjust in any light, so your refined glow is never lost.

What else you need to know:
This product has been dermatologically tested.

Suggested Usage:
-This product may be used on the face and body.
-To highlight the face, dab a small amount over foundation using your fingertips or brush to cheekbones, brow bones, temples, bridge of the nose, and cupid’s bow.
-When highlighting the body, apply to dècolletage, shoulders, and legs.
-Spotlighting: after applying makeup, dab a small amount, onto cheek and brow bones.

Why I’m loving it:

So there is glowing skin and there is PERFECTLY glowing skin. After I cleanse and moisturize my skin, it’s glowing. But all the minor imperfections are there — large pores, hyperpigmentation. That’s why I love BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold — it beautifully hides those imperfections without making my skin look like it’s cloaked in makeup. Not to sound cliché, but my skin looks like it’s “lit from within.”

I have used BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold in a couple different ways:

1. As a “primer” of sorts before applying my foundation, then just adding foundation coverage where I really need it.

2. Mixed with my foundation — gives my foundation a subtle glowing sheen that I can’t get enough of.

3. As a spot highlighter over foundation– on my cheekbones and eyelids. It just picks up the light and looks gorgeous.

4. Alone — I just add blush and a bit of eye makeup for a simple makeup look that’s lovely.

I have medium/light brown skin and I find that the Rose Gold Perfector gives me a bit of color in addition to the glow factor. I have also used this color on darker brown skin and it looks just as fabulous.

This is one product that I will not be without, and since it comes in more colors, I’m looking forward to adding more to my arsenal of makeup must-haves.

In the photo below, the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector is mixed with my foundation and I am using BECCA Topaz pressed perfector on my cheeks. That review is forthcoming!

Hey. You look great. I don’t know why I never asked this before. Seeing is how you’re a beauty expert. I would love to try this product. What do you think is the best way to apply? A sponge? Clean fingers?
