Another Sunday, another mask. If nothing else, Covid 19 has tremendously increased my self-care habits! I’m masking regularly on Sundays and other days of the week as well. This week for my Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday, I chose Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask to review. I’ve been trying several new makeup items and I’m due for a deep pore cleansing.

My results:

As I mentioned earlier, I had a pretty tough week with trying lots of new makeup and not properly cleansing my skin each night, so Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask was right on time.

After cleansing my skin, I applied a thick layer of Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask, poured myself a glass of wine and waited for the magic to happen. So, this mud mask feels and smells wonderful. The texture is creamy and it feels cooling when you apply it and the scent reminds me of a dessert. But not overly sweet. Weird I know…

As Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask dries down you can feel your pores “tightening” and that’s a wonderful feeling when you are pores obsessed. As an esthetician, I know that you shouldn’t let a mud mask completely dry on your skin, so it’s best to remove it while it’s still tacky. BUT, I wanted a bit more action, so I sprayed the mask again to wet it and then removed it when it started to dry again. I would say 10 minutes is enough time for this mud mask to work.

I keep a bunch of white towels for my skin care use (yes, I still think I’m in a spa when I do my personal skin care). So, I love to soak my towel in warm water and I add a spritz of a facial mist or lovely smelling toner to it as well and let it rest on my face for about a minute or so.  Then I am able to wipe all of the Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask from my face quite efficiently.

After removing this pore cleansing mask, I could see that my pores were tight and clean, which I love. I applied a little serum and took my after picture. See below:

I have also used Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask three times within a week to see if there was any negative reaction on my skin, and I had none, just clear, clean skin!
