Product Review—Skin Care: Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day Cream

My daily skin care regimen must-haves include moisturizer with an SPF.  And, at 55 years of age, I prefer a moisturizer that gives my skin a glow and has anti-aging properties.  Being cancer survivor, I also prefer skin care products that are free of useless chemicals.

I have been a Caudalie fan for years now–since I first was introduced to the this luxury French vino inspired care line during my product expert days at Sephora.com–and I am still a total believer in the benefits of the line.

I recently exhausted my tube of Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day Cream and I’m not so happy about it, because it was an absolutely awesome moisturizer.

Here are the deets on Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day Cream:

Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day CreamWhat it is:
A moisturizer that will significantly reduce wrinkles while also enhancing the complexion and offering all-day SPF 15 protection.

What it does:
This cutting-edge formula features Caudalie’s newest patent, Resveratrol-Oleyl, a new generation of resveratrol that stimulates collagen and elastin production and stops glycation, effectively combating aging at its source. Concentrated with 13% hydrating butters and smoothing active ingredients, it nourishes, illuminates, and protects for exceptional results. Hyaluronic acid gives skin a plumping effect. Peach butter nourishes the skin leaving it feeling comfortably hydrated. Fine lines and wrinkles are filled from within and skin firmness improves creating a visibly younger complexion.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This non-comedogenic cream has been dermatologically tested and is ideal for dry skin. For a complete antiaging regimen and increased effectiveness, this product is recommended for use with Vinexpert Firming Serum and Vinexpert Night Infusion Cream.

My results:

My anti-aging skin care goals I am not so concerned about wrinkles when is comes to my anti-aging skin care goals, as I am about even skin tone and  smooth texture.  As a label reader, one of the first things I first do is check out the ingredients on skin care products.  Not only is it important to see what a product contains, but what it does not contain.  For that reason, trying out Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day Cream was a no-brainer.

Good-for-your-skin ingredients like resveratrol, hyaluronic acid and peach butter made Caudalie Radiance Day Cream a go.

From my first application to my last, I was most impressed with the feel and absorption of this day moisturizer. Not only did it feel luxuriously hydrating upon application, but it absorbed well and kept my skin feel moisturized for hours.

I love when my moisturizer imparts a subtle “glow”, not an all out shine, but that youthful radiant appearance.  Radiance Day Cream did just that.  My skin looked so good as a matter of fact, I could forgo foundation and apply a little concealer here and then and call it a “minimal” day.

I often do the pinch test to my skin–that’s lets me know how my firmness level is.  If I can get a good pinch, that’s not so good.  If pinching my skin is difficult, YAY!  With this moisturizer I encountered an increasing level of difficulty pinching, and that’s a good thing.

Overall, I noticed clarity in my skin, immediate and cumulative “glow”, and firming.  My only misgiving with Caudalie Radiance Day Cream is that I would prefer a higher SPF.  When I leave the house for extended periods, I layer more SPF with it.
