Makeup Review: BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye Palette

Makeup Review: BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye Palette

I admit it, I don’t wear eyeshadow on a daily basis — I’m more of a liner and mascara girl. But when I do wear eyeshadaow, I like a natural neutral look, or all out smokey glam! Well, I found the perfect eyeshadow palette for a gorgeous neutral look.  BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye Palette is amazing for doing an all over color wash with one color to doing a complete Ombre look.

Here are the details for BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye Palette $40:

BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye PaletteWhat it is:
An eye shadow palette with five perfectly matte nudes.

What it does:
Sculpt, widen, and brighten up your eyes with the Ombre Rouge Eye Palette. Create natural depth and subtle highlight with these velvety soft, tone-on-tone ombre nudes. The matte shades provide pigment-rich, nude tones for a variety of neutral looks, ranging from subtle to bold. This versatile palette is ideal for contouring the eyes and face, and it can be used to fill in sparse brows and applied wet or dry as an eyeliner.

What else you need to know:

Suggested Usage:
The lightest shade can also be used to highlight your eyes, cheeks, and nose.
Use the middle shades to sculpt your eyes and face—the deeper the shade, the deeper the contour.
The middle shades can be used to fill in sparse brows as well.
The deepest shade is perfect, wet or dry, as an eyeliner.

Why I love it:

BECCA Ombre Rouge Eye Palette is simply one of the best palettes I have ever used. I love that these are all matte colors that blend seamlessly together or work alone to create a perfect color wash.

When I used the palette to create an all over shadow look, the shadows provided true color on my brown skin and lasted all day. They are a creamy powder texture that applies effortlessly. I have used the deeper brown for my brow color and it look simply perfect. Since these shadows are so pigment potent, you need very little to go a very long way. I have used the deepest brown wet as a liner and it gives a gorgeous “natural” definition to the eyes without looking harsh or artificial.

I happen to blend, blend, blend my eyeshadows so that there isn’t a “line of demarcation” but if you like to do a cut crease or contouring, these neutral browns are perfect for getting that job done too. I have also used these shadows on clients who love the look too. And, as with all the BECCA makeup I have tried, the colors translate from light skin tones to darker ones.

Plus, the pans in the palette are full-size, so this palette is well worth the price!
