Get the Look: Taraji P. Henson's Makeup by Giorgio Armani Beauty at 2019 Emmys

Gracing red carpets have become a way of life for Taraji P. Henson. Her latest red carpet appearance was at the 2019 Emmy Awards where she wore a stunning fuchsia and scarlet Vera Wang gown that took 200 hours to make and features a corset foundation, hand-draped French tulle, and an “aurora borealis” beaded belt. Her glam squad, makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff, stylist Jason Bolden, and hairstylist Tym Wallace, insured her glam quotient was on point for the evening as well.

Ashunta began Taraji’s make-up application using Luminous Silk Foundation in #8.5, applying with a damp makeup sponge. Next, she used Luminous Silk Foundation in #13.5 to contour along the cheek bones as well as the temples. Then, she applied Power Fabric High Coverage Concealer
in #9 under the eye area and on the bridge of the nose. To set Taraji’s glow, Ashunta dusted Luminous Silk Compact in #9 for a natural semi-matte finish. For her cheeks, Ashunta added Neo Nude A-Blush in #51 Magenta to the apples, blending in an upward motion, and finished by applying Neo Nude A-
Highlight in #11 Tan on the tops of her cheekbones.

Eyes:

For Taraji’s eyes, Ashunta used Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow in #41 Fusion on the lids up until the crease. The, to make Taraji’s eyes pop, she applied Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow in #34 Copper Reflection in the inner corners of the eyes and added a thin coat close to the brow bone for a soft highlight. Next, she added the brown, shimmery shade from the Eye Quattro Eyeshadow Palette in #8 Festival under lashes to give a slight smoldering effect. Ashunta used Eyes To Kill Designer Eyeliner in Onyx to line Taraji’s top lashes, and finished her eyes by adding Black Ecstasy Mascara.
