Over the years I have been through more than a few flat irons. I’ve had a few that have died a peaceful death, and others that I simply dumped because they were awful for my hair.

For the most part, I air dry my hair and just pull it back in a ponytail but on occasion I flat iron it so I can get that super sleep straight look. My results:

Even though my hair is soft and fine, it’s super frizzy and I am always challenged with having enough heat to straighten my hair. Which leads me to the several feature I love about the Chi Lava Ceramic Hairstyling Iron. One of the main reasons is that I am able to use a lower temperature to get my desire results, which saves my hair from heat damage. Additionally, I get a great result with one go through with my hair looking shiny and frizz-free. I can even get my edges straight which is unusual with a 1″ iron.

I really like that I can adjust the temperature in 10 degree increments, because most flat irons have you stuck in a certain temperature that’s either too hot or not hot enough so my hair stays frizzy. And the best part is that my hair comes out, not just straight, but shiny and silky soft.

And, the biggest factor for someone like me, it has auto shut off!
