Get the Look: Adwoa Aboah at the 2019 British Awards

Adwoa Aboah, International Supermodel and Revlon Brand Ambassador was named Model of the Year at the 2019 British Fashion Awards and presented her award by American singer and activist Erykah Badu.

The 25 year-old was credited for her work on digital platform Gurls Talk, and as a campaigner for mental health causes and promoting diversity in the modeling industry, plus was applauded for an exceptional year of modeling jobs that included contracts for Marc Jacobs and an appearance on new editor Edward Enninful’s debut British Vogue cover.

Aboah’s makeup was created by Celia Burton, Celebrity Makeup Artist. Here Burton breaks down the look.

SKIN:

Burton prepped Adwoa’s skin with the Revlon PhotoReady Rose Glow Hydrating & Illuminating Primer. She then applied Revlon PhotoReady Candid Antioxidant Concealer in Medium #040, under the eyes to cover redness and blended with a makeup sponge. Burton then used a small amount of Revlon ColorStay Makeup in
Cocoa #520, around the outer edge of her face, again using a makeup sponge to ensure none of Adwoa’s freckles were covered and her skin appeared fresh.

EYES:

Burton curled Adwoa’s lashes and brushed her brows upwards and outwards using Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse in Soft Brown #402 to keep Adwoa’s eyes minimal.

CHEEKS:

Then Burton used the Revlon Insta-Blush in Rose Gold Kiss #300, buffing the color onto her cheekbonesand cheeks to give Adwoa a gentle flush. To brighten and highlight her face Burton applied the Revlon ColorStay Endless Glow Highlighter in Topaz #005 on to her cupid’s bow and inner corners of the eye.

LIPS:

Lastly, Burton lined the lips with Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in Plum #665 and filled it in with Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in Red #675, creating an ombre effect and giving the lipstick a strong foundation for the night. Lastly, Burton blended Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes in Black Cherry #021 and On Fire #007 on the back of her hand with a brush and applied it all over the lip to complete the look.
