I really love new makeup products. I don’t care what they are. But when they are special, that’s even better. I’ve been a fan of Benefit Cosmetics for years—back when they were the face place. They are cute, creative, quirky, and have found their niche in the overwhelming world of cosmetics.
So I was quite surprised when I received an invite for the launch of their new foundation, Hello Flawless. Woot! I shared the invite with my Bling Team and four of us were able to attend the event at the Benefit Boutique on Chestnut St. in San Francisco.
This was my second event at the Chestnut Benefit Boutique, and once again, I had a great time.
First off, who can ignore cupcakes, candy. and champagne???? The Benefit girls had a spread of sweets and sparkling sippy-sips that got us in the mood for playing with makeup. (Okay, we don’t need to be put in the mood to play with makeup…)
Next, I was treated to getting matched with my perfect color of Hello Flawless Foundation. And believe it or not, it was easy. I went in being the skeptic—could they actually match my golden-toned brown skin? Most times, the answer is no. But Christina, my makeup artist of the evening, did a fab job on matching me perfectly. The amazing part is that the first foundation was not-so-bad, it actually was a pretty good fit.
But, not content to settle for pretty good, we went on to try the foundation in Amber. In an instant I was FLAWLESS! Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup, Oil free and SPF 25 was on point. Love it.
Great coverage, felt lovely on my skin, not heavy at all. My skin looked radiant and smooth. All that evil stuff that we desire foundation to hide was covered with very little effort (a feat which was in and of itself nearly miraculous, as I hadn’t slept too well for several days).
Christina went on to gussy me up with Hello Gorgeous powder in my t-zone only. She then applied Hervana, one of the Benefit’s pretty powder-in-a-box creations, and gave me gorgeopus lashes with They’re Real mascara.
Blinging Beauty Intern Marna had a great time too. She said,
"It was wonderful mixing with other beauty insiders and bloggers. Everyone was excited and friendly. I even had the wonderful opportunity to meet Anne Ford Danielson, daughter of Benefit Cosmetic's founder Jean Ford. She spoke briefly about all of the research and ingredients that went into developing the Hello Flawless Liquid Foundation line.
Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless Liquid Foundation is as lightweight as it is easy to wear. My brown skin loved its wonderful, shade-match perfect coverage. Throughout the night I wondered how my makeup would wear. Would it feel heavy? Would it settle in the creases or need refreshing? To my surprise, just the opposite happened. The oxygen-infused foundation felt light and wonderful. My skin felt supple to the touch and over time felt even better than when it was first applied. I am an instant fan of Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation!"
Team 20/20 Bling Team member, Chelsea, who is a chocolate girl, even found her Hello Flawless foundation match—Nutmeg—and got a shot of glow from the new Benefit Sun Beam golden highlighter.
We had a great time—thank you Benefit! And thank you for that generous swag bag—The Bling Team is now officially FLAWLESS!
Note: Hello Flawless is not yet available for purchase until February 15, but here are the details:
