Skin Care Review: ELEMIS Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter

I start and end my morning and night skin care routine with the same product — a fabulous cleanser. As an esthetician, I can’t emphasize how important cleansing your skin is, especially at night. Night is the time when our skin rejuvenates itself, and that process begins with proper cleansing, then the proper treatment products and moisturizer.

One of the first thing I notice with all ELEMIS products is their lovely aromatic scent. So, I opened the jar of ELEMIS Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter and low and behold, no scent. Unscented products for a plethora of folks is a good thing, so I will not complain.

What I love most about this ELEMIS cleansing butter is how deliciously creamy it is. On days I haven’t worn makeup, I simply massage it in and let it rest on my skin for five minutes or so. Now, the brand recommends leaving on your skin for about one minute for a deep cleansing mask, but I tend not to follow the rules…

When you read AHA in the name, you may think, oh good grief, I can’t use this over my eyes, but such is not the case. This cleanser which is so rich in oils, is the perfect eye makeup remover. It also is an ideal overall makeup remover. Simply massage into your skin and emulsify with a dot of water, then remove with a damp, warm towel.

After cleansing with ELEMIS Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter my skin feels so moist and refreshed and not at all tight or stripped. Imagine your skin glowing after just cleansing, that’s what you get with this cleansing butter. Additionally, my skin has a subtle glow that looks so natural after using this ELEMIS cleanser.
