Product Review—Skin Care: Nutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair®

I like it fast. I like it easy. And I have to be glowing afterward. I’m talking about my skin care regimen. Sure, I love the allure of layering 105 products on my skin – a serum for this, a serum for that – but the hard truth is that if I can have my cake (the whole darn cake) and eat it too, why not?

Well, I found that cake, and it’s calorie free, not to mention fast and easy. And yes, I am glowing like nobody’s business thanks to Neutrogena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair® product line, which includes: Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Serum, Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Night Moisturizer, and Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Eye Cream.

Along with the Neutrogena Rapid Results products I was sent, I used a gentle creamy cleanser morning and night.

First impressions: My twice daily skin care “program” was done in about two minutes. Who doesn’t have two minutes to blot out some ugly nonessential stuff like lines, rough texture and uneven skin tone? I certainly do, and I love the double entendre here with the #RapidResults line. Not only do I have a quick turn around with my daily skin care regimen, but, I had improvement in my skin in the first week. And I was a skeptic. Big time. But look at the photos below. Yes, I chronicle my skin care journeys…

I love the packaging. No, not because its emblazoned with a bunch of brouhaha, but because two pumps of moisturizer is all I need. Two pumps and slather that baby on. I don’t have to put my fingers in a jar and worry that I’m contaminating my cream. I heart that. The same for the eye cream and the serum, just a squeeze or a pump and you are done. The scent is mild and not at all offensive. Skin care simplicity at it’s best.

Additionally, I love the responsible combination of products. I’m getting retinol – but I’m also getting SPF 30 for day use. I truly get indignant when brands sell a solution that is negated by their lack of selling a complete package. Here, with Neutrogena Rapid Results, you have an entire program that costs the same as many dream creams. I’m all about saving – I have shoes to buy…

And how about a Retinol that you can use twice a day, and not look like a sunburned snake shedding its skin. You are shedding skin alright, but it’s such a sophisticated process, that you only look better day after day. None of that down time associated with an aggressive skin care product. “Oh, no, I can’t do drinks this weekend, I’m painting the garage.” No, none of that. As a matter of fact, my skin was looking so good, I was looking for a reason to go out.

I have been using the products about 3 weeks now and I have to admit that I have seen a difference in my skin. I thought I had pretty good skin, but now I have pretty great skin. I have gained clarity, my enlarged pores are reduced, my frownie that’s in the middle of my forehead (don’t have 3 kids) is diminished and I can do the firmness snap on my lower jawline. Goalllllllll! I’m more than happy with my skin and Neutrogena Rapid Results is a keeper.

This year I will work hard to not pick at my skin. Ever since I gave birth to my daughter 11 years ago, I suffered from adult acne. I know that picking at and constantly touching the skin on my face is a recipe for disaster. Hands and nails are the worst culprits of skin problems. So why do I do it?
