Product Review—Skin Care: Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Blemish Pads

As anal as I am about my sebaceous glands overproducing oil, some days I’m just over it. It’s tiring to be on zit watch beyond 30 years old, especially when I see younglings under 30 with pore-less skin who, I bet, is audacious enough to sleep in makeup.

Though I have just about enough acne cures to open my own dermatology clinic, these Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Blemish Pads are my go-to.

Their claim:

Clear blocked pores and treat current breakouts with these powerful pads. They’re saturated with an effective blemish-fighting formula to remove impurities and excess oil to help clear up your complexion. After just one use, your skin will feel soft, clean and refreshed.

My Results:

These pads can serve as a cleanser and toner or just a toner. On my “over-it” days, it’s a two for one. I swiped the big, round pad (nothing worse than a Barbie-sized pad) across my entire face gently in circular motions until the pad was no longer clear, and then flipped it.

The pad is thick enough to get salicylic acid from both sides. I kept using pads until gunk no longer surfaced per cleansing. It helped to dry up my acne and it became a mini peel due to the pad’s resurfacing affect, reducing dark spots within two weeks. My only issue was an uncomfortable grit feeling, not in every pad, but so often I would feel it. I hated it because it’s unexpected like that chalkboard sound and can possibly leave a slight scrape.

Well, I choose the lesser of two evils-–a fresh scrape any day over bothersome acne for a beyond 30 year old.
