Product Review: Dermablend Leg & Body Tattoo Primer

With all the wild and expressive trends going on, it’s not uncommon to see people strolling the shopping mall bearing full arm sleeve tattoos, inked on anklets, or permanent designs adorning the neck area. Just look at the slew of tatted celebrities, like Blinging Beauty Rihanna, who boldly sport creative tattoo artistry from head-to-toe.

As most of us have heard before, there is a time and a place for everything! During times when tattoos need to be hidden and clothing won’t do the trick, a prep product such as Dermablend Leg & Body Tattoo Primer is a great choice to help get the job done.

About Dermablend Leg & Body Tattoo Primer, $25:

What it is:
A leg and body primer that allows for smoother application of Leg and Body Cover.

What it's used for:
Dermablend Leg And Body Tattoo Primer is essential for complete, natural coverage and long-wearing durability. It ensures flawless, blendable coverage, with hydrating and comforting benefits. Formulated to enhance the coverage of scars, varicose veins, bruises, stretch marks and tattoos. By taking this extra step, coverage becomes water-resistant, smudge-proof and won't transfer surfaces, lasting as long as 12 hours.

Dermablend Leg and Body Tattoo Primer is a stick form primer that is applied prior to foundation application. When I used this primer, I found it easy to apply and a great base for full coverage makeup as the claim states.

However, what I did not like about  Dermablend Leg and Body Tattoo Primer is that when worn alone, it is not long-wear and did not stay put. It easily smudged and wore off quickly. I did appreciate the fact that it gives a more natural and flawless look.

Editor's Note:  Reviewer did not use the primer under  Dermablend Leg and Body Cover over the primer as it is intended, so the review is not a true representation of the how the product would perform if used under a body makeup product.  We will update this post when the primer has been used under body makeup.
