The first clean beauty brand I worked with was Vapour Beauty. I so appreciated the opportunity because at the time I was a cancer survivor as was the founder, and the need for a brand like Vapour was overdue. For Earth Day this year, Vapour Beauty is my pick for beauty that is not only clean, but inclusive.

Vapour is taking responsibility for our packaging by Rewarding our customers for sending us Vapour Empties for responsible recycling through Terracycle®. We’re happy to recycle any full or travel size Vapour empties you send us, but earn a $15 Reward when you save four or more and ship them back together. 

RENEWABLE ENERGY GOALS

Today we use 50% renewable energy at our headquarters, manufacturing, warehouse and research facilities in Taos, New Mexico. This includes extensive use of skylights for natural lighting throughout the day. Our goal is to be 100% Daylight Solar by 2022. We’re excited that all signs point to achieving this goal early!

WATER IS PRECIOUS

Water stress impacts 44% of the world population and for us it’s personal. In our arid, high desert home of Taos, New Mexico, we recognize water as a limited resource. That’s why we’ve formulated 97% of our products without water. 100% of our lip and cheek products are waterless.

REUSE & RECYCLE

One third of all landfill waste consists of personal care + beauty product packaging. We recycle or reuse all paper, cardboard, glass and packing materials used at our headquarters. Orders are mindfully packaged using eco-friendly and compostable materials.

CRUELTY-FREE

We are animal lovers. We are Cruelty-Free.

Vapour does not test raw ingredients, products in development or final products on animals.

We take this commitment further than many others by choosing not to sell our products in countries that require animal testing. We are certified members of the Leaping Bunny Program; an internationally recognized Cruelty-Free standard. 

GIVING BACK

Vapour is dedicated to giving back and supporting charitable causes that are close to our hearts. We believe everyone deserves safe cosmetics that delight the senses, support health, and reduce exposure to potentially toxic chemicals.

Both Vapour founders have been deeply touched by cancer: Krysia is a two-time cancer survivor and Kristine’s mother was also a two-time survivor. In 2020, we are partnering with Lipstick Angels. We’re sharing our belief in the healing power of natural beauty by gifting our color cosmetics to cancer patients undergoing treatment. Since 2019, Vapour has donated over sixty thousand dollars in clean beauty products to Lipstick Angels through Credo Beauty. Lipstick Angels is a national nonprofit organization that provides in-hospital, nurturing, bedside beauty services and physical touch to seriously ill cancer patients.
