As Weleda continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability, healthy soils and the preservation of biodiversity during the brand’s centennial year, we are thrilled to share Skin Food Body Butter in more premium and sustainable packaging available beginning in June 2021. The new packaging features an 85% recycled glass jar and 85% recycled cardboard, still with the same nourishing formula and at the same $18.99 MSRP.

Skin Food Body Butter offers long-lasting moisture to quench thirsty skin. The light, whipped texture is easy to spread, melts smoothly into skin, is made with vegan-friendly ingredients and is indulgent for skin and senses.

Featuring sunflower seed oil from the bright yellow blooms of sunflowers grow in fields in the dry grass plains of central Hungary, this is Hungary’s ancient Puszta, once an endless sea of grass and now the source of a key ingredient for Weleda products.

Weleda only sources sunflower seeds from oleic culture, meaning the seeds have a higher content of oleic acid than conventional sunflower seed oil. This higher content makes the seed oil ideal for cosmetic use. Weleda is committed to biodiversity and a recipient of the UEBT certification for “Sourcing with Respect,” assuring consumers that biodiversity is protected along the supply chain.
