Product Review—Makeup: bareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation & Bareskin Perfecting Makeup Brush

I am not a bare skin girl, except when I go to bed at night. Those days for me are long gone. With 57 approaching, I need a lot of moisturizing and a hint of coverage for my skin to look it’s best. So that means I am all over tinted moisturizers and BB/CC Creams because I like to look like I’m wearing my bare skin.  And when I’m trying to do the frou frou thing, I definitely need a great foundation.

Every so often a product comes around that I am not expecting anything spectacular from and then POW! I just tried bareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation and it has that POW factor. If you like looking like you have bare skin, you will love this foundation.

My results:

My skin tone: Dark tan to medium deep with golden undertones

To be perfectly honest, I really didn’t know what to expect when I tried Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation. And even after using it, I still didn’t get it until I read the information about the product again. And now I’m totally in love and intrigued.

First off, I’m a serious serum devotee. As a woman in my 50s, I rely on serums for my skin care regimen. So the formula of Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation is genius. You shake the bottle then squeeze to get just amount of foundation you prefer from the bottle. Love that. I was sent the makeup brush specifically designed to apply the foundation with. It has and indentation in the center, and that where I squeezed a few drops of the foundation. I applied under my eyes and to the center of my face first, fanning out. At first I thought I had too much product, but after a few swirls with the brush, it was all perfectly blended and my skin looked bare but better.

The formula does an instant color correcting of your skin, as you can see in my photos below. I was using Where I had redness it was taken out and my yellow undertone was even and perfected.

Note: I also used this foundation with other foundation brushes with great success as well.
