Every year there are a host of beauty products that hit the scene and last year a few products hit that market that forever changed my beauty life. Check out a few of my favorite beauty products of 2012 that I gladly welcome into 2013.

 

1.  My Mane's Attraction

I was initially introduced to Curls Unleashed during New York Fashion Week last February and I’ve been crazy about the line since then. My curls are always perfected and moisturized after using the Curl Defining Creme and it will remain a permanent staple in my hair routine.

2.  Complexion Perfection

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation

 

Prior to 2011 I’d never given Lancôme foundations a try—I ordinarily use their skin care and mascara. Working the Lancôme makeup counter got me curious about more of what the line had to offer so I decided to give the Teint Idole Ultra foundation a try. In 2012 Lancôme reformulated the foundation, expanded the color range and removed the SPF in the darker shades and it remains one of my favorite foundations. The flawless finish and staying power make one of my favorite products from 2012.

3.  My Eyes Have It

Milani Instant Eye Makeup Remover

 

There’s nothing worse than waking up with dried mascara in the corners of your eye and on your pillow case. That’s why eye makeup remover has always been a must-have for me. So when Milani released their Instant Eye Makeup Remover last year I was thrilled that it worked as well as my favorite pricy eye makeup remover and was at a much lower price point. Lately it’s been difficult to find so I’m hoping it’s here to stay.

4. My Undercover Love(r)

Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew Deodorant

 

Laugh if you want, but as a teenager I always wondered why my underarms didn’t look like those of the models I saw on covers of magazines. Of course I had no concept of what airbrushing and photo shop was but even at 30 I’d like to get underarms that are as close to flawless as possible. Lucky for me Dove created the Clear Tone Skin Renew Deodorant which helps to reduce the appearance of uneven skin tones and dark spots due to shaving the underarm area. Since consistently using the deodorant I’ve noticed a visible different and I won’t go a day with out this. 

5.  Making Scents

Marc Jacobs Dot

 

Initially it was the eclectic bottle that captured my attention to the newest addition to the Marc Jacobs fragrance family. Once I smelled the sweet, fruity fragrance with hints of vanilla, I knew I had to add Dot to my collection. I like that it's a fragrance that can be worn  all year long (not too fruity or spicy) and I'm guaranteed to turn heads whenever I'm wearing it.
