Skin Care Review: Elemis Superfood Skin Care Collection

It’s no secret that I’m a serious fan of Elemis skin care. As an esthetician, I have a love for not only clinical solutions for skin conditions, but naturally derived ingredients and formulations that smell divine are particularly close to my heart as well. Early in my career, I was obsessed with peels and such as they were the trending thing. Over the years I have gained an appreciation for efficacious skin care products, both for professional and personal use that pamper, nourish, strengthen and balance the skin. Elemis is one of those brands.

I recently received the Elemis Superfood Skin Care Collection to review, and I’m so glad I did.

This refreshing gel cleanser with a nutrient-dense Supergreen Complex deeply cleanses skin, for radiant, outdoor-fresh glow. Supergreen Complex of Wheatgrass, Kale, Nettle and minerals are combined to leave the complexion looking luminous Superfood lipids, Broccoli Seed, Avocado and Pumpkin Seed oils, are combined with an active, sugar-derived Pre-Biotic helps to maintain a healthy balance in the skin’s microflora. My results:

Elemis Superfood Facial Wash is a luxurious lightweight gel cleanser that lathers up into a creamy texture and cleans my skin without any stripping or tight feel. Applied on dry skin, this cleanser Superfood Facial Wash has the best feel I have ever experienced in a gel cleanser. I shave my peach fuzz and this cleanser gives me the perfect slip for my razor as well. I love that there are oils incorporated in the cleanser so that my skin feels moist and looks lovely and radiant after cleansing. Because this is a balanced cleanser, there is no need for toner.

Elemis Superfood Day Cream is the ideal moisturizer for anyone looking for a cream that keeps your skin moist while simultaneously feeding it needed nourishment. What I love most about this day cream is that after I apply it, I can apply my makeup without it feeling heavy or my makeup moving. After months of wearing Elemis Superfood Day Cream my skin looks and feels plump and moist, which I truly need in my 60s. I often go without makeup because my skin has such a wonderful glow from the complete Elemis Superfood regimen.

My results:

To qualify for being a favorite night moisturizer for me, my skin has to feel moist and look great when I wake up. Elemis Superfood Night Cream raises the bar when it comes to hydrating skin while one sleeps. After waking up my skin feels soft, smooth and moist. That’s rare. Also, my skin just has a glow when I awake after I use this moisturizer. And… It has passed the pinch test since using the entire Elemis Superfood regimen. Meaning that my skin is firmer when I pinch a bit of skin. That’s improvement.

My results:

Let me just say that Elemis Superfood Facial Oil is my favorite product in the entire line. I use this superfood facial oil some nights to seal in the moisturizer, especially when I’ve been a bit negligent with my skin care. (Yes, I sleep in makeup some nights…) As a facial oil, you may think that your skin is going to feel greasy or that the oil won’t absorb, but that’s not the case at all. Elemis Superfood Facial Oil absorbs into skin and feels wonderful. My ultimate use for this facial oil though, is to use it as a primer for my makeup. I ideally prefer to have a dewy, radiant look to my makeup. So a bit of this oil makeup extends my foundation and adds a bit of glow to my skin.
