Product Review—Skin Care: Desert Essence Rejuvenating Face Serum

I found my nearly empty bottle of Desert Essence Rejuvenating Serum this week and was reminded that I sorely missed this great anti-aging serum and that I had not written a word about it yet! I already had a great experience with Desert Essence Cleanser, and you can read that review here.

When I had my skin care practice, I was frequently asked by my clents what was the ONE product they needed for perfect skin. Well, that was difficult as no one, I say no one, left my studio without a sunscreen, so that was number one. However,  as an esthetician I always say spend your dollars on a fabulous treatment, usually a serum which is more potent that a moisturizer. So, needless to say, I am simply mad about serums.

My results:

It was pretty much love at first pump with Desert Essence Rejuvenating Serum for me. This anti-aging serum is silky and feels luxurious, yet it’s lightweight enough to immediately absorb into the skin. I love that my skin feels hydrated after application, even though I always apply moisturizer after a serum.

I have some very fine lines in my forehead–the result of three children, I swear — that I saw a decrease in appearance of after using this serum. My skin is also supple and has a general healthy look.

One of the major anti-aging concerns for me, having black skin, is collagen break down, in particular getting jowls, so I concentrated use of this serum around my jawline and neck as well as my face and did indeed see some lifting action.

My favorite feature of Desert Essence Rejuvenating Serum is however the fact that it relies on botanicals as opposed to chemicals to do the job. I’m a total fan of that technology.
