Long, cascading hair failed to be the “mane” attraction at the 84th Academy Awards last month. While Halle took her pixie to new heights with a mohawk influence, Charlize took short to the edge with an androgynous pixie that leaned toward boyish. Anne Hathaway, still growing out her big chop for her role in Les Misérables, worked full-on side swept bangs, in a stylishly short and sexy crop as well.
