Get Tyla’s 2025 Met Gala Makeup Look With Pat McGrath Labs

Tyla met the challenge for the Met Gala 2025 theme, Tailored for You, which featured menswear, suiting, and exceptional tailoring. The gala, a fundraiser for  The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute ‘s spring exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” highlights Black dandyism and menswear. Tyla’s fitted, off-the-shoulder pinstriped gown by Jaquemus came with a dramatic coat with a long train featuring the same blue and white striped effect. There’s no doubt that her cape was an elegant nod to André Leon Talley.

With a new curled blond ‘do, Tyla’s style was on point. Plus, having Pat McGrath Labs at the helm for her makeup, she couldn’t help to turn heads on the red carpet.

“For Tyla’s makeup, we were channeling vintage Hollywood glamour—icons like Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, and Jean Harlow—with a modern twist. The look focused on sultry smokey eyes using warm nudes and deep browns from Mothership I and XII. For her luminous skin, I used my Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection System because Tyla’s complexion is absolutely divine.
