Get the Look: Lupito Nyong’o’s Makeup at the Makeup at the 2022 Oscars

2016 Oscar winner in the Best Supporting Actress category Lupita Nyong’o, graced the 2022 Oscars red carpet in a custom Prada gown that features gold sequins and paillettes from head to toe. The fringe element is what takes this gown to the next level with movement in every step Nyong’o takes.

Nick Barose, celebrity makeup artist, created the glam look for Nyong’o using Lancôme skin care and makeup for this momentous occasion.

EYES

Apply Lancôme Prime It Boost It all over the eyelid to prime the lid for long-wear

Fill in and define brows with Lancôme Brow Shaping Powdery Pencil and Lancôme Sourcils Styler, creating a strong arch

Apply Lancôme Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Reflet D’Amethyste on the lids. Apply gold leaf in the center of the eye to create an artistic effect. 

Define the upper lash line with Lancôme Idôle Liner

Nick’s pro tip: Wing it out a bit “It’s easier and faster when you don’t try to do one perfect line from start to finish. I usually start by lining the whole upper lash lines then I decide on the wings later, this way it’s a lot easier to control symmetry as well.”

Finish off the eyes by applying 2 coats of Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara for voluminous, defined lashes.

Line and fill the lip with Lancôme Le Lip Liner in Mauvelle 

Apply Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Mademoiselle Lupita
