Product Review: Phytospecific Revitalizing Oil

So I am the poster child for killing my hair.  I’m sure my ADD plays into it.  I’m cutting, coloring, bleaching, braiding, putting a weave in, taking it out on and on….

Well after being sick for a couple weeks, I’m convinced that going two weeks without looking at a brush is something that I will never do again.  And, I think the medication I am taking has wreaked havoc on my hair as well.

So I went rummaging through all my beauty booty and found this treasure—Phytospecific Revitalizing Oil Treatment. I forgot how much I love this product and how well it works.  I’m a huge fan of Phyto products and this one is one of my favorites.

Here’s the info on Phytospecific Revitalizing Oil Treatment:

This ultra-rich, lightweight oil (Peanut and Castor oil) which is rich in lipids regenerates and hydrates the hair and scalp, restoring the hair’s natural moisture balance, leaving the hair soft, supple, and healthy.  Wheat protein extracts smooth and protect the hair shaft.  Delicately scented, it stimulates the scalp and fortifies the hair shaft.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:

Parabens – Sulfates – Synthetic Dyes – Petro-Chemicals – Phthalates

To use:

Shake well before using. Apply to wet or dry hair, evenly throughout the hair and scalp, before or after shampooing. Leave on for up to 30 minutes and shampoo.

My results:

I put the oil on my stressed out hair and slept in it overnight.  (Slept in a plastic cap; I don’t recommend it)  Before shampooing, I could feel the difference in my hair.  After  I shampooed with Phytospecific Intense Nutrition shampoo and finished with Intense Nutrition conditioner my hair was truly “revitalized.”  It was soft, silky and could pass for virgin hair.  Well, almost.

In the past, I have even used this oil as a daily conditioner.  Just a drop goes a long way to helping hair have a healthy sheen.   I have also used a couple drops prior to blow drying and it protects my hair during that damaging process as well.
