I wish I could say my skin is flawless without foundation, but it isn’t. Despite years of avid SPF usage and great skin care, I still have some tell-tale signs of aging on my face, primarily hyperpigmentation. It’s not that bad, as a matter of fact many say my skin looks great for 60 years of age! But, when I want flawless skin, I prefer a foundation that gives me fabulous coverage without looking like I have a pound of makeup on. And that’s exactly what Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation does for me.

What it does:

My results:

I typically use Laura Mercier Foundation Primer before applying foundation, but for the purposes of review I like to try it on clean moisturized skin. I have medium/light brown skin with some discoloration, and my color for testing in this review is Maple.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation does exactly what the name says — leaves your face looking flawless. This foundation comes in a one ounce pump bottle, and for my purposes, two pumps is enough for my face. I apply liberally under my eyes and feather out using a foundation brush. (I prefer a natural brush, I find the finish not so streaky)

One application is enough to give me a beautiful natural finish that is in the “velvety” type.Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation also covers my hyperpigmentation and completely evens out my skin tone. If I’m experiencing extra darkness around my under eyes, I simply pat on a little more foundation and darkness is gone! And, that goes to prove that this foundation is buildable without looking or feeling heavy. This foundation lasts for hours without fading or streaking or leaving me like I want to want to wash my face! Nor does it change colors or get darker as the day goes on.

I have to giveLaura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation bonus points for being sweat-proof! I’m still experiencing my “personal summers” and I don’t have to worry about this foundation running down my face when my showers start. I’m 60 years old and love that my skin doesn’t feel dry and tight while I’m wearing it, even though it has a matte finish. I love this foundation so much that I only use it when I’m trying to look extra cute.
