Jouer Skin Barrier Balm is My New Favorite Skin Care & ‘Makeup’ Product

I received Jouer Skin Barrier Balm to try out and review. Well, let me cut to the chase — I love it. I  didn’t have high hopes for this solid serum balm in a jar, but I have found my new best friend in skin care and makeup.

My review of Jouer Skin Barrier Balm:

The formula: As stated, Jouer Skin Barrier Balm is a solid serum. So you get all the benefits of a treatment serum, but in solid form. I  absolutely love that. I tend to overuse serums, however, because I just take a bit of this balm on a skincare spatuala, I never use to much. But, feel free to refresh with Jouer Skin Barrier Balm throughout the day.

This solid serum is chock full of every oil beneficial  for your skin; I was completely shocked to see all that goodness in this one jar. See the full ingredient list here.

Performance: I  have used Jouer Skin Barrier Balm in many ways. My first application of this balm was directly to my face after cleansing. Once I broke into the surface I was greeted with the most pleasant scent. I’m convinced the fragrant scent is due to all the oils in the serum. Wearing the balm directly on my skin without layering it over other products, my skin felt comfortable, nourished and hydrated. I wanted to  repeatedly apply it, but isn’t wasn’t necessary. I have used Jouer Skin Barrier Balm as my night moisturizer, and amazingly, I woke up with skin that was moist and hydrated. This is a very rare result for me with overnight moisturizers.

Hydrating: I  have lupus which has made my skin sitution even worse. My skin is dry as the Sahara, plus, my eyes are ultra dry and sensitive. But, Jouer Skin Barrier Balm relieves all of that; it keeps my skin moist. I even put it around my eyes without irritation.  I mentioned earlier that I used this balm on my bare skin, but I  have also used  it to seal in my layers of skincare previously mentioned previously. Jouer Skin Barrier Balm absorbs into my skin without leaving a residue which I find almost miraculous considering it’s concentrated oil content. However, the oils used are so compatible with facial skin that the product never feels oily.

It’s a highlighter!: As a makeup product, I’ve used  Jouer Skin Barrier Balm for a subtle glow that comes from within, not a shiny, glittery artificial looking highlighter.  It makes my skin look so healthy and fresh.

Additional Uses: I have a serious problem with dry cuticles so I apply Jouer Skin Barrier Balm every to them every time I use the balm. And heads up, the fabulous balm works wonders on frizzy hair!

I am also hyped that Jouer Skin Barrier Balm addresses hyperpigmentation and is plumping! These are two of the skin care issues that I as a mature Black woman am addressing with my skin care routine.
