Get The Look: SZA’s Voluminous Curls x ghd at Super Bowl LIX

SZA sizzled in red during her Super Bowl LIX performance with Kendrick Lamar at New Orleans’s Caesars Superdome. The Grammy Award-winning singer sported a custom red leather Born X Raised bomber jacket over a lacy corset top in the same color. SZA’s was completed with a pair of red leather lace-up pants and a matching pair of low-top sneakers.

Naturally, we were mesmerized by SZA’s major curl action,  her signature hairstyle created by Devante Turnbull using ghd hair tools.

According to Turnbill, “We wanted to stay true to her signature big hair look while elevating it with extra length and some color to spice things up.”

To create a unique texture, Devante alternated between using two curlers – ghd’s Curve Creative Curl Wand ($209) and Thin Wand ($209) to curl the hair in different directions and add more dimension.

To maximize volume, Devante used his fingers to separate and blend the curls. Then he brushed through the hair using the ghd Paddle Brush ($35) and applied Hair Oil to add shine and complete the look.
