Friday Find: Black | Up Blush in NBL 07

Friday Find: Black | Up Blush in NBL 07

I totally believe in the necessity of blush. In this day of overdone contour and highlighting, a flush of blush can give you a sexy natural flush, without looking so made up. When it comes to standing out in the crowd, why not be the girl with the fabulous “natural” glow — not the one you have to remove 10 pounds of makeup from to get the real deal. That’s why I picked  Black | Up Blush in NBL 07 — a brilliant red — for our Friday Find of the week.

What else you need to know:
black|Up is the first upscale beauty brand dedicated to women of color. The Paris-based line is known for its range of professional-quality makeup that is developed by women of color and answers the specific needs of darker skintones.

Why it’s such a find:

When I received Black | Up Blush in NBL 07 I thought, wow, now this is a gorgeous, pigmented blush. And the packaging with the imprinted logo, makes it pretty look at. So, not wanting to ruin the “look” of this blush, I put off wearing it. #mistake.

Black | Up Blush in NBL 07 is simply gorgeous on. Because it is pigment potent, you need only a swipe to get a beautiful flush of blush. If though, you are addicted to blush as I am, you may want to go full-on and do a couple swipes of this beautiful crimson blush. I love that it has a matte finish; that makes for it looking amazing on any skin types, and, you can top it with a highlighter if you are so inclined.

This color, NBL 07 looks amazing on my skin tone and works even more beautifully on deeper tones. My daughter who is a much deeper brown tone than I am looks gorgeous in this blush. (I’ll post a picture of her here wearing the blush here soon.) Also, because of the matte finish and the heavy pigment factor, this blush literally lasts for hours upon hours. Whenever I wear this blush, it looks fresh until I take it off.

I also love that I can wear Black | Up Blush in NBL 07 with minimal makeup or do a complete glam look, and it always look fabulous. Check me out below wearing it on two different occasions.
