What I’m Loving Now: Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel—My Pores Look and Feel Fab

I'm in my fabulous fifties, so my skin is not as oily as it used to be.  I do, however, still have some enlarged pores from my days of being an oil slick having oily skin.  Not that I'mu complaining about the oily skin—it's well known that oilier skin doesn't age as quickly as its drier counterparts.  Another issue with being fiftyish, is that i'm as blind as a bat.  So, I wear prescription glasses and use magnifying mirrors.

Those darn magnifying mirrors show all the evil truth.  In fact, they magnify your skin care issues.  (I do not recommending using these 10X and 5X mirrors unless you really, really can't see.)  So, my pores always look mammoth to me.  And the enlarged ones, look like, well, like I could take a dive into them.  That brings me to the current pore minimizer that I am in love with—Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel.

I used this mask while in New York for Fashion Week this month, and I have to tell you my results were nothing less than spectacular.

Here are the details about Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel:

What it is:
A 15-minute facial peel.

What it is formulated to do:
Soap & Glory's exclusive Poreshrink-R Complex powers this intensive-action pore refining peel. Ideal for greasy, spot-prone, or problem skin, this peel provides a strategic attack on a misbehaving T-Zone.

Contains:

-Fomes Officinalis Extract: A mushroom extract to tighten pores.
-Salicylic Acid: Loosens up the dead cells that contribute to pore clogging.
-Kaolin: A cosmetic clay that sops up extra oil on your skin and smooths your skin's surface.
-Vitamins E & C: Provide antioxidant and antiaging properties.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Rub a grape-sized dollop into your face and massage in circles until the green beads have all dissolved. (those with a high tendency for clogging should concentrate on their t-zone, chin, or areas with large, open, or problem pores.) Leave on for five minutes for a quick refresher, or fifteen for a real deep-cleaning do–it- yourself kind of ‘facial.

My results:

The directions clearly state to use the facial peel for 5 to 15 minutes. I however being a skincare extremist  left the peel on overnight. LIke most, I decided that more was more and  I wanted my pores super-clean and  my skin super-bright.  (Please do not try this at home)  I was a bit concerned, however, that my over-zealousness of sleeping in the Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel would dry out my skin. But such was not the case. I woke up, rinsed off the peel in the shower and my skin was simply gorgeous.

While my skin was once oily, it is currently pretty normal and sometimes dry—that's due to my menopausal state which is a whole other conversation.

After the first application my pores were not visibly reduced or minimized, however, my skin was very clear and bright, which was a good start for me. After using Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel about four more times particularly in my trouble zone-the areas where I have a large pores, I saw beautiful, visible results.

I have incorporated Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel into my weekly routine of skin care treatments and on occasion will dab a bit on my over-sized pores that I hate.  I love Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ Facial Peel, and it gets a whopping 5 Blings from me.

Bling Factor:

Pro: Easy to use, feels good, a little goes a long way, proprietary ingredients

Con: Jar container packaging

Price: $25

Buy Again: Yes

Packaging: 3 Blings—Love the box, the graphics are adorable, but I hate sticking my fingers in a product.  Would prefer a tube.

Overall: 5 Blings—Even though I don't care for the packaging the product is amazing and delivers.
