What I’m Loving Now—Skin Care: Onsen Soothing Eye Cream—It’s Worth the Splurge!

My bio very clearly states that I am addicted to eye cream.  This addiction started when I reached the big 4-0 and I bumped up my daily use of eye cream.  Over the years, I have been through dozens of every type, brand and formula of eye cream.  My main concerns are puffiness (sleep deprivation, that extra glass of red wine and on occastion allergies) as well as dark circles for pretty much the same reasons.  Some eye creams are good, and other are just great—addiction worthy great.  Onsen Soothing Eye Cream is one of those that fits the addiction category.

Onsen Soothing Eye CreamHere are the details about Onsen Soothing Eye Cream:

My results:

Since I am an eye cream snob, having my stamp of approval on a product is rare.  But Onsen Soothing Eye Cream is some kind of fabulous.  Here's why:

1.  Packaging—I'm a sucker for a luxury jar, but I'm more of a sucker for a luxury jar that contains an efficacious luxury product.  Onsen Soothing Eye Creams fills that bill.  This jar is gorgeous enough to sit on your vanity; it's not the type of packaging that you want to just throw in a drawer and forget about it.  And that's a good thing.  When your necessary products are in sight, you will be more apt to use them.  Out of sight, out of mind.  My only gripe about the packaging is that it's not in a pump, and that goes across the board for me with just about every product I review.  It does however have a nice little spoon that gives you the right amount of eye cream to use.

2. Texture—It feels like a drink of water.  Which is appropriate, as it as a proprietary formula of "Micro Water Complex."  It is light and creamy, with a very light pleasant scent.  Upon application, my skin felt kind of happy.  Like you feel when you have your favorite comfort food.  I use this eye cream under my eyes, and above the lid as well.  But that's me.  Please use as directed. I was afraid that such a light formula would not last throughout the day, but I was dead wrong.  This eye cream goes the distance—until I reapply at night.

3.  The claim—Onsen Soothing Eye Cream does what it says it will do.  Almost on contact puffiness is decreased, and it improves over the next hour.  My dark circles were exacerbated over the three  plus months I used this product.

4.  Price—It's pricey.  But worth it.  Such a small amount is needed for application (I know because I actually have enveloped my entire face in this fabulous eye cream.  Over the span of a few months, it's worth every penny to use an eye cream (which is a fundamental skin care product for every women) that gives back!

I don't easily give out 5 Blings, but Onsen Soothing Eye Cream is a shining star!
