What I’m Loving Now: Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipstick

I am pretty basic when it come to lippies—it's matte red lipstick or a nude gloss with a tinge of coral for me. And, of course, I use lip balm around the house. But, there is a category of lipstick that is in between a lipstick, a lip balm and a lip gloss that I love.

My ordeal is finding my perfect lip color (coral/pink/nude) in one of those sheer, yet moisturizing lipstick formulas. I love for my lips to look natural and luscious, so a color that brings that look for the fore is perfect. I have a few that I have worn over the years, but I have a new one that I am absolutely crazy for.

I have been wearing Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipsticks, for a few weeks now, and they are pure heaven. These good-for-you lipsticks not only feel great on your lips, but they look amazing. Koh Gen Do, an integrated Japanese skin care and high definition makeup line, uses plant extracts and other ingredients from nature whose safety has been proven throughout history to create cosmetics products.

Every claim Koh Gen Do makes about this lipstick is so true. The Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipstick is so smooth and luxurious, yet it is serves as a lip protectant.

Amazingly enough, such a light, yet hydrating lipstick as this one actually lasts for some time. Not though diner mind you, but definitely through conversation.

The colors (I tried two, Fresh Pink and Coral Pink) do indeed brighten the complexion and give a lift to the face. They even made my smile look whiter (I drink coffee by day and red wine by night and live on Crest White strips).

I love the packaging and the shape of the bullet. The case is lightweight metal—a nice change of pace from plastic lipstick cases and the round bullet with the slant fits perfectly on my lips.

The formula of Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipstick is just perfect for someone wanting a creamy lipstick that is light and gives the lips a beautiful full appearance. I think this is an excellent formula for women who are aging and looking for a lipstick that hydrates their lips and gives them a fresh youthful look.
