What I’m Loving Now: Clarins Opalescence Face & Blush Powder–So Pretty You Won’t Want to Use It

I’m a sucker for pretty things, including gorgeous makeup packaging. Let’s just take that a step farther, I’m a sucker for gorgeous makeup. So, when a makeup product has beautiful packaging, looks amazing in the compact and on my face it’s a beauty trifecta. That’s exactly what I hit — the beauty trifecta — with Clarins Opalescence Face & Blush Powder. It looks good in the compact and even better on me!

Here are the details about :

Clarins Opalescence Face & Blush PowderIlluminating news! Three silky powders to mix and merge for a warm, sun-kissed glow. Exclusive holographic compact.
• Three shades, suitable for all skin tones—Pinkish Beige, Coral and Brown—warm and illuminate the complexion. Ideal for a touch-of-tan effect.
• Mattifies and evens-out the complexion.
• The Coral doubles as a blush!

HOW TO APPLY
Swirl all three colours together using a blush brush, and tap off excess. Apply all over your face for an instant brightening effect. Pick up some of the coral shade and sweep over the apples of your cheeks for a boost of radiance. Now you’re blushing!

My results:

Let me first say that upon first glance at this beautiful powder, yes, it’s pretty, but will the predominantly beige powder work on my brown skin. There are dots of darker brown, a little cranberry and some gold swirled in as well.  As it turns out, yes, this luminous powder is just gorgeous on my skin. It even’s my tone, with or without foundation. It’s sheer yet gives skin a velvety matte finish. The brown can be used to create a little contour and the coral is perfect for adding color to my cheeks.

I have also used this as a finishing powder on clients with fabulous results. See my photos below, wearing also Clarins Creme Blush in Grenadine and Eyeshadow from the Eye Quartet Mineral Palette.

Can I just say that this is the most beautiful packaging I have seen on a powder?? You are right, it is almost too pretty to want to use. The finish it gave you is absolutely beautiful. I am always skeptical when it comes to products that contain multiple shades of powder that you need to swirl together. This one looks worth every penny.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
