With soy becoming a popular beauty ingredient because of its healing, skin toning and collagen increasing properties, we are reviewing some skin care products where soy is the hero ingredient!

Aveeno is known for nurturing sensitive skin, and the Positively Radiant line holds up their end of the bargain.

1. Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser

With moisture-rich Soy extracts, this soap-free cleanser lifts away dirt, oil and makeup without over-drying for naturally radiant skin. Oil-free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic, and gentle enough to use every day, even on sensitive skin.

MyResults:

Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser is definitely for sensitive to normal skin. Without a doubt, you'll notice the little to no lathering with this cleanser. But that's a good thing, because the less lathering, the better for the skin.

The brightening effects for me is that the wash looks like a pot of gold. Simply wash, rinse and lightly pat skin dry. The cleanser leaves a luminous, sparkly finish on the skin.

One claim it does not live up to is makeup removal. Maybe minimal, non-waterproof makeup, but definitely not a full face.

2. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

The Claim:

This daily facial scrub helps improve skin tone, texture and clarity to reveal brighter, more radiant skin.This unique formula combines moisture-rich Soy extract with smooth, round microbeads to gently exfoliate while you cleanse, leaving skin soft, smooth and even-looking. Its soap-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic ingredients are good for everyday use and gentle enough for sensitive skin.

My Results:

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub is great as an everyday scrub for sensitive to normal skin because of the gentle microbeads. But again, not for acne prone skin. Be sure to remove all makeup prior to use. Your skin will feel softer after constant use, but keep up with more intensive exfoliants weekly for better results.

With the inexpensive price range and overall crackerjack set of cleansers, Aveeno Positively Radiant products are recommended. If your skin is sensitive or delicate, by all means try the Aveeno Positively Radiant Line of skin care products!

Bad Beauty Habits: Chelsea Will Stop Sleeping in Her Makeup

I need to stop sleeping with make up on now! (Editor's note–story was written before the first of the year) January 1, 2012 cannot wait. My plan to kick this awful habit is to make it easier to take my make up off at night. Sometimes, as conceited as this is going to sound, I really love the way my eye makeup looks and I just don’t want to take it off.
