Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday: DIY Lavender Hand Cream or Just Buy Jurlique’s Lavender Hand Cream

It's that time of the year—winter. Frigid temperatures not only suck the moisture out of facial skin, but also wreak havoc on our hands. Gloves help, but everyday washing and sanitizing combined with cold weather contributes to dry hands. An emollient, healing hand cream is a must-have for daily use. For the DIY-ers, you can make a lovely lavender scented hand cream right at home, or for those of us who prefer pre-packaged beauty goods, Jurlique makes a beautiful lavender hand cream.

Lavender Hand Cream Recipe

What you will need:

1. Grapeseed Oil

2. Lavender Essential Oil

3. Vitamin E oil

4. Jar for storage

5. Double Boiler

Step 1
Melt 1 cup of grapeseed oil in the top of a double boiler until smooth.
Step 2
Add seven to 10 drops of lavender essential oil and ½ teaspoon vitamin E.
Step 3
Stir until the mixture is well blended. Then, allow itt to cool to room temperature.
Step 4
Pour the cream into a jar, cover tightly and store in the refrigerator, cupboard or pantry.
