Product Review: YBF Restore Vitamin C Serum

When my clients ask me what one product they need in their skin care regimen, 99 times out of 100 I recommend a vitamin c serum.  Why vitamin c?  Well, it cures a truckload of evils.  But primarily it's ideal for anti-aging as it a powerful antioxidant that  brightens the skin and promotes cellular turnover. So, I'm always on the search for the next best vitamin c serum.  And I found it.  Recently, I was sent YBF (Your Best Face) Restore serum (among other products) to review.  Restore is a powerful serum packed full of good-for-your-face ingredients.  Mind you, I read the label first before I try any skin care.  When I read the ingredient list of YBF Restore, I was more than pleased. The first ingredient is reverse osmosis water with the second being ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (vitamin C).  Now, it's quite unusual to see the hero ingredient in a product right up front on the ingredient list, but it's  a good thing. Before I tell you my results with this product, let me share with you the claims.    Here is the claim for YBF Restore:

Advanced brighteners, vitamins and top antioxidants work to even pigmentation, diminish dark spots and reduce inflammation for a refreshed look you'll love. We brought together two of the best complexion brightening ingredients — alpha arbutin and stable, high-end vitamin C, that synergize with one another to even skin tone, reduce appearance of "age spots" and slow the tanning response after UV exposure. Restore is incredibly refreshing and helps draw moisture to the skin all through the day or night. Restore won't clog pores and actually encourages healthier skin, hindering future breakouts with its vitamin and antioxidant content and also helps to fade scars.

My results:

Restore is lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin, making it an easy-to-layer product under my moisturizer.  I do have hyperpigentation issues, and after 45 days of using YBF Restore, I find my skin brighter and firmer. I love this serum and am quite sad to think that I am running out soon! Often times vitamin c serums can sting or cause skin to redden.  I had none of those negative side effects.  Additionally, Restore includes alpha arbutin which increases its skin brightening abilities.
