Product Review-Skin Care: m-61 Hydraboost Moisturizer

I’m quickly approaching my 58th birthday, and I’m more obsessed with my skin care regimen than I have been in my entire adult life. My main concern is keeping my skin firm and finding a moisturizer that combines firming qualities with moisturizing qualities is like finding the holy grail. I was recently sent m-61 Hydroaboost Moisturizer found at Bluemercury and I’m one happy girl. My skin is even happier.
m-61 Hydroaboost MoisturizerPeptide-packed vitaminB5hydrating and firming moisturizer & primer with tamarind and aloe. 100% paraben-free 100% synthetic fragrance-free dermatologist tested allergy tested

Highly concentrated power-packed peptides help to promote firming and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Vitamin B5, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid plump and replenish the skin’s moisture level. Natural tamarind improves elasticity, nourishes and hydrates, while aloe and centella asiatica soothe the skin. A two-in-one moisturizer and primer.

My results:

m-61 Hydraboost Moisturizer is lightweight yet effective. I’m used to using richer more  emollient moisturizers, so I was a bit doubtful about how m-61 Hydraboost would work on my skin. My doubts were quickly dashed as the first time I wore the moisturizer, I kept feeling my face during the day (sans makeup) and it felt so very moist –not sticky or greasy — just pleasantly moist. Over the course of several weeks of using m-61 Hydraboost Moisturizer, I have also noticed that my skin feels nice and firm with a healthy glow. And by the way, you notice that glow immediately when you use the moisturizer, but your skin just looks better and better (more glow) the longer you use it.

I love that this moisturizer come in an air pump bottle, I can do my traditional three pumps and get all  the product I need for my face and neck without waste. I also don’t have to worry about putting my fingers in  a jar and contaminating it. So, the packaging is right on target for me. Another plus is that this moisturizer works as a primer too. I love a double-duty product!

The only downside with this product is that it doesn’t contain an SPF, which I really like in my moisturizer. So I have to layer one on when I leave the house. For days that I wear makeup, I’m just sure to have an SPF in my foundation.
