As a newly licensed esthetician I’ve performed many treatments on my skin. While in beauty school we were required to experiment with multiple products and procedures. Often times, the mixed messages I was sending my skin left it in a state of confusion—sometimes oily, sometimes dry. My current concern is controlling excess oiliness, so I have been using the Murad Vitalic Regimen. This lightly scented skin care trio consists of Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser, T-Zone Pore Refining Gel, Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer SPF 15. This skin care set used as daily maintenance and protection claims to keep skin strong, healthy and vital. What I like about Murad’s Vitalic Regimen is that it works fast and it smells yummy. The signature scent, pomegranate, reminds me of watermelon flavored Jolly Rancher chews! My Results: Energizing Pomegranate Dual Action Cleanser works double-duty as cleanser and toner. I liked this cleanser liquid to foam formula cleanser as it left my skin visibly "squeaky" clean. My skin also felt tight and toned after cleansing. Vitalic T-Zone Pore Refining Gel lives up to its claim—my oily zones are shine-free with oil under control. Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer SPF 15 provided light protection throughout the day, without my skin feeling over-moisturized. Murad’s Vital C Regimen lived up to its guarantee of tightening and firming—it was like a mini face lift regimen. The down side is that my skin felt too dry. However, my pores definitely appear tightened and minimized. Unfortunately, I experienced some burning with this product line, no doubt to an allergic reaction to an ingredient. I would recommend this line for someone who has extremely oily skin with enlarged pores. I'm sure they would find it beneficial. Bling Factor: Pros: Definitely tightens and firms, leaves pores with the appearance of being diminished. Cons: Over-drying.
