Product Review-Makeup: Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

When I wear foundation, I love to have perfect coverage. Not necessarily full coverage, but just the right amount of coverage so that my skin looks smooth and even toned. Additionally, since I’m in my 50s foundation that has skin care benefits is right up my alley. Two Faced Born This Way Absolute Perfection Foundation fit the bill!

My results:

I first have to comment on the pretty bottle and fun name (Born This Way)  of this latest foundation from Too Faced. I love the elegant packaging, the gold print on the bottle and the fact that it’s a pump for dispensing the foundation.

This foundation is rich, thick, and creamy. Two pumps is more than enough to cover your entire face including under the chin. I like using this foundation in a medium finish. This is easy to do, because Born This Way foundation is easily buildable — up to a complete coverage.

The color of the foundation that I used is Honey and it’s an ideal match for my light/medium brown skin. This foundation applies like a dream. Since it’s so creamy, a little goes a long way. I apply it up to my lash line and find that the coverage is so full,  that I can apply a second layer to my under eyes and skip concealer. Thanks to the amazing pigment in this foundation, my hyperpigmentation is blended away into one even tone.

Despite the rich creamy texture, Too Faced Born This Way Foundation wears like one of its lightweight sisters. It doesn’t feel heavy during the day and you can actually forget you are wearing foundation. And, speaking of wear–Born This Way is long-lasting. It looks as flawless at the end of the day as it does when first applied early in the morning.

I love the finish–it’s luminous, velvety and radiant. Just what this fifty something woman needs. And, it keeps my skin moist throughout the day.

I used Golden  described as tan with neutral-to-pink undertones.
