I love blush. As a matter of fact, I have my own saying, “A day without blush is a day without sunshine.” Even my blog is inspired by a blush. Blush is in my top 5 beauty items that I must have if stranded on a desert island. Or in a hotel room…

Cheek stains aren’t new to the blush arena, but long-lasting powder blushes are. There are a couple out there that are amazing, and I was recently introduced to another, INSTAIN by theBalm, that I’m rather taken with as well.

Why I love it:

Peach blush is the perfect color for my brown skin with a yellow undertone. I can never go wrong with peach blush, so INSTAIN in Swiss Dot is an ideal choice for me.

A swipe goes a very long way, amazingly enough. I thought that I would need more for my brown complexion, but INSTAIN is pigment potent so a little is plenty, although I have old grandma syndrome so I apply until my kids take the brush away from me…

INSTAIN in Swiss Dot is matte, so for women who have oily skin or do not like shimmer in their blush, this blush is perfect.

As far as lasting power? I gave it a serious test on my daughter’s graduation day. Started out at 8 a.m. with the blush and wore it until I went to bed the next day. And yes, it lasted the entire time. Either that speaks to the blush or my old grandma application method!

And the packaging is adorable and recyclable. Cute sayings on the mirror side of the compact. Yes, a mirror!
