This formula coats your hair, allowing the tangles to separate, but it is also like a pre-conditioner at the same time due to the great ingredients. I love the way my hair goes from “crunchy” to smooth and silky. This Pre-Wash treatment doubles as a pre-conditioner as well, as when I rinsed it out to wash my hair, it felt like I had already gone through my conditioning treatment. This is truly a much better option than trying to comb out kinks and tangles and breaking and losing hair in the meantime. I would venture to say that it keeps hair detangled through the entire cleansing process (I used the sister shampoo and conditioning products as well) and after I finished, my hair was so soft and detangled I could literally finger comb it.
