About Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer $44

What it is:
A skin-smoothing, makeup-extending primer infused with five types of coconut to nourish and hydrate the complexion.

What it does:
Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer brings the refreshing feel of coconut to your face while it perfects and extends makeup wear. With its hydrating, nutrient-rich formula, it is especially ideal for normal to dry skin types to create a smooth and improved skin surface before applying foundation. It’s enriched with concentrated coconut extracts that form a natural, vitamin-rich barrier between your skin and makeup. The coconut water-derived polysaccharide complex mirrors the effect of synthetic priming ingredients, allowing your skin to breathe without compromising the skin-perfecting benefits. The result is makeup that stays on longer and skin that appears younger-looking and better than ever.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

My results:

I have combination normal to dry skin (it’s a hormonal thing), so, I don’t really want a primer that’s mattifying. Which is one of the reasons why I love Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, it’s hydrating and leaves my skin smooth and “plump.” I would go so far as to call it a primer that doubles as a moisturizer.

Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer smoothes your skin making it ready for foundation application. What I noticed after using this primer is that my foundation looks so “natural” and moist if you will. (I prefer a dewy look…) Additionally, I need less foundation and it wears well throughout the day — I don’t have any dry patches or fading from my foundation.

Most facial makeup primers rely on synthetic ingredients like silicone to give that smooth texture to the skin, but they are simply not present in Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer! And I LOVE that! Those ingredients can clog pores and prevent skin from breathing as it should.

The glass pump jar packaging is luxe and lovely –deserving of a spot on on your vanity. Speaking of pump jar, three or four pumps is plenty to cover my face and neck. Even though I’m not applying foundation on my neck, I love the feel and look of my skin so much after applying Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, that I think it’s perfect for my neck as well.
