Green Day Thursday: Editor’s Pick – Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub

It’s no secret that I’m a scrub-a-holic, I’m always ready for the next best in a face or body scrub. Well, some time ago I received some amazing scrubs from Simply Scrub and I’m loving all of them. But, the one I’d like to introduce you to today is the Rose Body Scrub.

About Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub $16 (3.5 oz jar):

simply-scrub-rose-body-scrubLe petit bijou – the little jewel. That’s what we think of when we see the pinky-red hue of our rose scrub in its pretty new tub. Perhaps it’s the elegant floral scent, or the amazing antibacterial and toning properties all those petals pack. Or, maybe it’s healthy dose of avocado, sweet almond, jojoba, and other essential oils that protect and moisturize your skin. Whatever it is, we can’t help but wax poetic about our new 3.5 oz tub of Rose scrub. Once you smooth a palm full all over your skin, we think you’ll be singing its praises, too. Perfectly portable and easy to store, what more could you ask for?

Why we love it:

Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub is a totally different type of scrub — rather than being full of man-made materials with added ingredients, Rose Body Scrub is simply crushed rose petals with some great essential oils added. Ordinarily, I like to use a scrub straight on my body before adding water, but I found that having my skin moistened before applying this scrub is the best way to use it.

This rose body scrub is fragrant and provides gentle exfoliation. You don’t have to worry about “overdoing” it with this scrub (I tend to be rather zealous with exfoliants). After using it, my skin is smooth and hydrated as well. I am an avid user of body lotion after my shower, but after using Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub, you could probably skip that step.

A little of this scrub goes a long way — I use about 2 palms full of the scrub for my entire body, that gets the job done.

I’m accustomed to scrub that “melt” and this one doesn’t, so I only have one small problem with it — it can get a little messy post shower. You’re going to have to do more than your usual cleaning to your tub/shower, but hey, it’s worth it!

Other scrubs from the line include Coffee, Soursop, and Chocolate which we will be reviewing soon.
