Friday Find: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Topaz
Every now and then a beauty product pops up that stands way above the crowd of mediocrity. As a fan of glow-enhancing, radiance-boosting makeup, I was über excited to receive a lovely compact of BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Topaz to review. And trust, when they claim to be a skin perfector, they were not lying. Check out the deets below.
About BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Topaz $38:
What it is:
A creamy powder luminizer that absorbs and reflects light for a superb natural glow. What it does:
Find refined luminosity in any light—this formula features ultrafine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light so your natural radiance is never lost. Unlike the traditional pressed powder method which simply mixes and compresses dry ingredients, this unique process blends pigments with proprietary liquid binders, resulting in unparalleled, creamy application with balanced color dispersion. Like a compact full of crushed gemstones, the multi-toned, ultra-fine pigment pearls adjust to skin’s natural undertones for a truly unique glow.
My results:
As excited as I was to try BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Topaz, I was still a bit trepidatious. However, it was love at first stroke with this skin perfector…
Topaz is as you can see, a shimmering golden brown tone that just enhances my skin. I love that I can apply it on and below my cheekbones for a bit of subtle sculpting. Not that harsh, over-exaggerated contouring that’s so popular…
Shimmering Skin Perfector melts right into my skin, it creates a glow, highlights and radiance all at once. It doesn’t at all look powdery and it’s quite difficult to tell that you are wearing makeup. But your friends probably know that you have some trick up your sleeve anyway, so go ahead and tell them about this wonderful product.
I have used BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Topaz alone and with blush, and it always looks fabulous. I have medium/light brown skin, and Topaz warms my skin while giving me a slight shimmer. I even brush it over my eyelid to continue that glow without having to wear eyeshadow. LOVE! There are three more color which I can’t wait to try as well.
I have also used the liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold and it’s my absolute favorite skin illuminator. You can read my review here.

Such a pretty color!

I’ve only swatched the Pressed Skin Perfector at Sephora once and my favorite shade overall is Opal, it reminds me of theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer but more concentrated & pigmented!

I am head over heels for the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. Though I do not have the Topaz but own the Opal I must say it applies seamlessly like you said. Very creamy indeed! I see that you’ve made mention of the Rose gold liquid and it’s not on my next purchase.

Yes, that Rose Gold is everything! Thanks for stopping by.
