Wright and Ross carried on an animated conversation for about 40 minutes about Amla Legend product line. Tracee shared her favorite styling tips and talked about her personal hair routine as well as her own hair struggles. (Celebrities wake up with bad hair days too!)  As  a woman who doesn’t use alot of heat on hair and loves the “voluminous” look, Tracee recommended making sure to keep our hair moisturized as well as really “keep an eye” on hair ends. When asked which of the Amla products she’d take with her to the beach, she responded that the Edge Tamer  was a great styling complement for her go-to bun!

Later, Johnny, with the assistance of lovely Optimum hair models, showcased the new products’ styling capabilities.

The conversation then turned to the audience. All the attendees in the room (including hair/fashion bloggers, magazine editors, and NYC tastemakers) were able to ask each other and the hosts questions about haircare and all things beauty. After the event was over, we all got to take pictures with Tracee and Johnny.

Overall, the event was a great lunch time soiree. It was nice to mingle with fellow hair enthusiasts as well as get the opportunity to get professional advice from the many Optimum stylists in the room. One hair stylist, Derrick Monroe, even gave me some tips on how I could revitalize my month-old wig. (Yes, honey!)

P.S  Aren’t  Tracee’s  Louboutin pumps fab?!?! Somebody buy these for me, please?
